Real Repairs, Smart Upgrades, and Local Highlights You Don’t Want to Miss
Inside this issue, we’re taking you behind the scenes on two recent projects. One started as a simple water heater replacement and turned into a smart tankless upgrade that freed up space in a compact home. The other dives into a bigger plumbing challenge, where what looked like a single issue turned into a full system solution.
We’re also sharing a few things we love about our community, including a local business highlight, a recent customer experience, and some fun from our Fix It Funny series. And with our upcoming week-long closure in May, we’ll make sure you’re in the loop so you can plan ahead if you’ve been thinking about scheduling work.
Whether you're dealing with a plumbing issue, planning an upgrade, or just enjoy seeing what goes on behind the scenes, there’s a little something here for you.

Upgrading a Small Home for Better Functionality with a Tankless Water Heater Conversion

At McCray & Sons Home Services, we recently completed a tank to tankless water heater conversion in Sacramento, helping a homeowner make better use of space in a compact home.
This project wasn’t just about replacing a water heater. It was about solving a layout challenge and creating a more functional living space.
FIX IT FYI

From Slab Leak Repair to Full Repipe: Why This West Sacramento Home Needed an Overhead Water Line Reroute

We performed a targeted slab repair, replacing the damaged section of pipe, pressure testing the system, and restoring the concrete. Everything checked out exactly as it should. For a time, the system held.
When it didn't, it was time to address the issue at its source, and we performed a full domestic repipe, for an overhead water line reroute.
