Celebrate the joy of summer at the Sunflower Festival, a family-friendly event set among the beautiful flower field at The Flower Farm. Hosted by The Flower Farm Gift Shop, enjoy an evening filled with music, food, and fun for all ages. Spend time exploring a variety of local vendors, delicious bites from food trucks, and relaxing to the sounds of live music with the AC McKinney Duo. Kids will love our hands-on craft area, which includes sunflower planting (while supplies last) and flower themed craft projects brought to you by our Kids Craft Sponsor: ReCreate!

Join us for a unique night with a movie at the pool! Water access begins 30 minutes before showtime. Bring your swimsuits, blankets, and don’t forget the snacks. Watch the movie from the pool deck, grass area, or swim and watch from the rec pool.

During the Farmers Market we will be celebrating all things Tomato with the Salsa competition between local restaurants and tomato tasting with the Master Gardeners! There will be crafters and all kinds of local produce.

The Yolo County Fair Jr. Rodeo registration opens May 1st, and tickets for the event will go on sale July 7th. The event will take place on August 14th at 6pm. The entry fees for this event are $5 per competition.
Events include: Mutton Busting, Boot Scramble, Calf Sorting, Sheep Dressing, Breakaway Roping, Cow Hide Race, Team Roping, Jr. Steer Riding.

The Yolo County 2025 Demolition Derby is around the corner. Friday, August 15th at 7:00pm will be Trucks with a Single Heat Event of 80's or newer. Saturday, August 16th at 7:00pm will be Weld Stock Cars

The Glow Run is a 3-5k, untimed, non competitive, fun event, with a mini music fest all in one. Runners start off wearing a white or black shirt or hoodie and finish the race colored in glow powder. Along the glow course you will find Glow Zone’s which are associated with a designated color: orange, yellow, pink, or blue. As the runners, and walkers reach the Glow Zone they run through different colored powder that glows in the dark under our black lights.

The Banana Festival is a family-friendly multicultural event. We celebrate the beautiful countries in the world where bananas grow, their cultures, ethnic diversity, food, and music. Bring the whole family to William Land Park for food, fun, art, and amazing entertainment!

The Festival is an opportunity to connect with residents, community organizations, small businesses, and neighborhood associations and build a deeper connection with the groups that make our community a great place to live, work, and play.

Chalk It Up To Sacramento aims to empower the next generation of artists by providing grant funding and programs for teachers and schools to give equitable access to the arts for all students, with an emphasis on serving our region’s most vulnerable populations.  The annual three-day Chalk It Up! Chalk Art & Music Festival, a vibrant celebration of our local arts community and artists of all ages, is offered free to the public over Labor Day weekend, serving as a gift to the city and the greater Sacramento region.

Sacramento Rainbow Festival enters its 40th year of successful fundraising on Sunday, August 31st 2025  for charities all  over the United States; producing the annual street festival featuring world-renowned musical talent, vibrant community interaction, and celebrating within the LGBTQ+ communities of Northern California.

Northern California’s largest pop culture convention, featuring anime, video gaming, celebrity guests, panels, cosplay, exhibitor/artist alley, and free gaming rooms. Admission for children 11 and under is free. 

Final weekend of the exhibit “Sacramento in a Can.” Explore Sacramento’s agricultural and canning history with hands-on activities, selfies with Sacratomato, veggie planting, and crafts. Admission: $12 for adults, $6 for youth, and Members free.
