A Fresh Start for the Spaces You Live In Every Day
As we step into a new year, we want to thank our customers and community for another year of trust and support. 2025 was a busy one for the McCray team, and we’re proud of the work we completed and the relationships we continued to build here in West Sacramento. As always, our focus remains the same: helping homes function better, one thoughtful fix at a time.

Why Most Home Projects Aren’t Big Jobs (And Why That’s Actually a Good Thing)

When people think about hiring a contractor, they often imagine something big. A remodel. A major repair. A disruptive, expensive project that takes over the house for weeks. But that’s not how most homes actually work. In reality, the majority of homes don’t need one massive project. They need a series of small, practical fixes that make daily life easier, safer, and less irritating. And that’s actually good news.
FIX IT FYI

A Simple January Reset for Your Home’s Plumbing

The start of a new year is usually when people reset routines. Calendars get updated. Old habits get reconsidered. Things that have been “good enough” suddenly feel worth addressing. Your home’s plumbing deserves the same kind of reset. Not because something is failing, and not because you need a major project, but because many plumbing issues quietly become part of daily life without anyone realizing they do not have to be. January is a good time to notice them.

GET YOUR FIX FUNNY

I had McCray & Sons install a new kitchen sink a while back, and I just had them replace two of my toilets. From setting up appointments to the final results, all of my interactions with them have been great. I'll definitely be giving them a call next time I need something done around the house that I can't do myself.
