Fixing An Improperly Installed Water Heater
An unlicensed contractor installed this water heater and it was improperly plumbed and when they were coded for this the customer had to call McCrays to come repair the problem. The water heater was missing the TMP, which is referring to the "Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve" - a safety feature on a water heater designed to automatically release excess pressure and temperature, preventing potential damage or explosions by discharging water when needed; essentially, it's a critical safety mechanism to protect the water heater from extreme conditions.
