The McCray Perspective

The West Sacramento Moose Lodge holds a very special place in our family’s heart. It’s been part of our family history for generations — Warren’s parents, Monte and Francine, both served in leadership roles there, and Warren himself has also held a chair.

One of my favorite memories is from when I first started dating Warren nearly twenty years ago. Every Monday night, he and his mom would go to the Moose to play Pinochle. That tradition says everything about this place — it brings families together.

Over the years, the Lodge has been a gathering place for us. We’ve rented the hall for celebrations, including my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday, and our kids have loved the Moose’s holiday events like Halloween parties, Christmas celebrations, and visiting Santa.

What we love most is how truly family friendly the Moose is. You can bring your kids to karaoke, dinners, fundraisers — they are not only welcome, they’re encouraged. Our kids have always felt at home there.

Great dinners, amazing Sunday breakfasts, affordable meals, and a warm, community-centered atmosphere make the Moose Lodge a place where friendships grow and families feel connected. For us, it’s more than a fraternal organization — it’s home.
